The Milad un Nabii celebrations organized by the KSI Jamaat Arusha Community members in collaboration with Bakwata (The Muslim Council of Tanzania), Arusha Branch were held on 23rd and 24th December 2015.
The Program included a Zafa’a (procession) which started at 04.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. on 23rd December 2015 wherein members from different faiths participated in the procession.

The Program continued on 24th December 2015 which took place from 9.00 a.m. till Asr time, with a break for Zohr and Asr prayers. The Chief Guest at this function was the District Commissioner of Arusha, Hon. Fadhili and the Regional Sheikh of BAKWATA, Alhaj Sheikh Shaaban Bin Juma.
The Program commenced with verses from the Holy Qur’an recited by Sheikh Meisam from Qum, Iran followed by Qasidah recited by the KSI Jamaat Arusha Madressa Boys.


The Chief Guest addressed the gathering followed by speeches from various Imams and Sheikhs from different Mosques. All the speakers emphasized on unity and harmony amongst people from different religions and sects, there were praises on the life and nobility of the Holy Prophet (SAWW) and the way he treated people with kindness and compassion regardless of their backgrounds, faith or nationalities they came from.

Refreshments were served during the Program and lunch was served to all at the end of Function.
This Milad un Nabi Program was organized by a team of six which included members from BAKWATA and the President of KSI Jamaat of Arusha, Alhaj Ghullamhussein Mukhtar was one of the members. The cost of the Program came to T. shs 4.5 Million which was raised through the assistance of the Community members and with support from our parent body the Africa Federation.
The BAKWATA Arusha branch leadership and the Sheikhs thanked the Khoja Shia Ithnasheri Jamaat for their support in the organization of this Program, and requested that such co-operation should continue in the future.
