The annual Africa Federation Solidarity Day marked on 15th Sha’ban every year will this year Insha’allah fall on Sunday 22nd May 2016.
The Solidarity Day activities within our constituent Jamaats shall Inshaállah start from 1st to 25th Sha’ban 1437 (8th May to 1st June 2016).
We request all Jamaats and Territorial Councils in Africa to organize special events like Charity Walk, Fun Fare, Sports and other activities within the bounds of our Shariah to raise funds for this Special Day. This great event would also provide an opportunity to bring together community members from different age groups on a common platform under one banner of Solidarity to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of our 12th Imam, Al Hujjah Al Mahdi (ATFS).
Funds raised for this occasion are utilized throughout the year for the needy and deserving members of our community in areas such as education, medical, and other emergency relief requirements.
We are pleased to appoint the Solidarity Day Ad-Hoc Committee to spearhead the AFED Solidarity Day 2016 (1437) and to coordinate with the Jamaats in organizing various activities and fund raising events. We request our Jamaats to appoint two youth members from each Jamaat to work in collaboration with the following Ad-Hoc Committee:

The Assistant Hon Secretary of AFED, Br. Alihassan Kassam and the Assistant Hon Treasurer of AFED, Br. Aliabbas Nasser will be the liaison officers between the Organizing Committee and AFED Secretariat.
There will be 2 to 4 ladies Members who will be appointed in due course, and will be subject to a separate circular.
The Secretariat seeks the support and cooperation of our Jamaats as in the previous years to make the Solidarity Day 2016 – 1437 a huge success once again.
