Participant comments:
Sofia Abdulkarim Jaffer – Zahra Madrasah Mombasa
“The Annual Muballigh Development Seminar is very informative platform for us to learn. This year, the one lesson that am taking home is on the topic of divorce (Surah Talaq). Personally, I have a great interest in understanding the Holy Qur’an, memorizing Surah Talaq and learning its meaning was very interesting for me. I encourage my fellow ladies to attend these seminars whenever they get this opportunity because it is an eye opener and a way to improve our skills in life.”
Yusuf Seif – WIPAHS, Tanzania
“This year’s seminar was of its kind because the topics were very relevant to me as a person and I believe to all of us. The facilitators had mastered the areas they presented. One thing that stood out for me was on the whole of issue of marriage and divorce. From the presentations, I have discovered that the divorces that the larger Muslim community have been conducting, are not done as per the correct teachings of the Holy Qur’an. My advice is that, we should conduct divorce as prescribed in Surah Talaq.”
Salma Ali Rashid – Zahrah Madrasah, Mombasa
“There are several areas that we learnt during this seminar. The topics that were presented dealt on the areas that we had had questions about. I was particularly interested on the topics of Leadership, marriage and divorce.”
Sheikh Ayub Rashid – UK.
“Once again we had a wonderful seminar with the more than 80 participants from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania who came to participate in this year’s Muballigh Development Seminar. This year we have seen wonderful participation, all of them showed keen interest to learn from the experts who presented topics in a very professional way.”

“Acquire knowledge, it enables one to distinguish right from wrong; it lights the way to heaven. It is our friend in the desert, our company in solitude and companion when friendless. It guides us to happiness, it sustains us in misery, and it is an ornament amongst friends and armour against enemies.” (Widely attributed to the Prophet Mohammed (Pbuh)
