This marks the beginning of a determined journey of the Africa Federation towards developing long-term sustainable investments, laying a foundation of self-sufficiency and growth.

The Federation of Khoja Shia Ithna Asheri Jamaats of Africa recently marked the start of the works towards the construction of the Africa Federation Commercial Complex on Plot No. 11 along Vingunguti Industrial Area, Nyerere Road, Dar es Salaam.
This Project was initiated following the adoption of a Resolution presented by AFED Secretariat at the 73rd Supreme Council Session held in Arusha in April 2012, to purchase a prime Property in Dar-es-Salaam for the purpose of developing a Commercial Project in order to generate income towards long-term running of the various activities of the Africa Federation, the first of its kind for the Africa Federation.
On 6th November 2012, a short ground-breaking ceremony to commence the landmark project was held at the site, the ceremony was attended by the Africa Federation Office Bearers, Trustees, Vice President of Dar es Salaam Jamaat, Alhaj Azim Dewji, Resident A’alim of Dar es Salaam Jamaat, Sheikh Murtadha Alidina, Councillors and some well-wishers in Dar-es-Salaam.
The Africa Federation Chairman, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi has appointed Alhaj Kumail Manji who is the AFED Assistant Hon. Secretary to head the Committee for this Project. The Committee is made up of the following:

Br. Salimali Panjwani – Secretary (AFED Projects Coordinator)

We wish to acknowledge with thanks the assistance extended by M/s. Tanzania Road Haulage (TRH) for providing the heavy duty earth moving equipment, trucks and mobilising personnel to clear the site of the Project. We are also very grateful to Alhaj Muslim Dharamsi of TRH for his continuous presence at the site and for the assistance he is providing to AFED in this Project. We pray to Allah (SWT) in increase in their tawfeeq’at, grant them good health, prosperity and long life, Ameen.
