

“Together WE can Make A Difference”
For the fifth consecutive year, a six day seminar was organized from 20th – 25th, February 2016 at the Bilal Hall, Mombasa. The main objectives of these exhibitions were to give the group members of the Economic Upliftment Project the needed exposure on practical marketing and business skills as well as provide a platform for networking.


This year, the women got an opportunity to display their items at two exhibitions. On 20th February 2016, some of the ladies from our centres displayed their products at an exhibition which was held by the IthnaAsheri Ladies Young Union (ILYU) at the Jaffery Islamic Centre, Mombasa.
On 21st February 2016, two ladies from each of the 15 centres participated in an exhibition which was organized by the Mission at the Bilal Hall, Mombasa. Tailoring students from three centres and their instructors showcased their crocheting prowess besides selling products like school uniforms; sofa set covers, phone covers, sling bags and many more.
Some of the products available for sale were handcraft items like beaded-hand bags, baskets, ropes, Vegetables, Fruits, Herbal medicines like: Moringa Powder and Moringa Seeds. Other items like liquid soap detergents, charcoal briquettes &cloth materials were also available.
