Muslim around the world anticipates the arrival of the holiest month of the year, Mahe Ramadhan, the ninth month of the Islamic Calendar. Muslims from all continents unite in a period of fasting and spiritual reflection.
A reflection:
“O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous – attain taqwa”. [Holy Qurán Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:183]
Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his progeny) said;
One, who provides iftaar to a Mu’min in the month of Ramadhan, shall be granted the reward of liberating a slave (in the path of Allah) and shall have all his previous sins forgiven. [Bihar al – Anwar, vol. 93, pg. 317]
During the Holy Month of Ramadhan 1436 AH the Mission intends to distribute food to various Muslim Communities, Masjid’s and institutions.
The Mission has planned for the following activities to be conducted during the Holy month of Ramadhan 1436 AH:
- Daily Iftar at Bilal Centres
- Distribution of Relief Food
- Ramadhan Radio broadcasts
- Eid Gifts
- Various Tabligh activities
Total Budget for the Month:
- KShs: 12,000,000 – (equivalent to: US$125,000 or GBP 80,000)
Those who wish to contribute towards the Mahe Ramadhan Project can do so for Isale Thawab of the Rooh (s) of their beloved departed ones.
