BILAL MUSLIM MISSION OF TANZANIA CONDUCTS FREE EYE CAMP IN MWANZA, TANZANIA
The Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania wrapped up the year (2015) by having a major free eye camp in Mwanza from 23rd– 27th December 2015. It was carried out at Lake Primary & Secondary school compound arranged through the curtsey of Br. Murtaza Alloo and BMMT Mwanza Branch Chairman, Alhaj Sibtain Meghjee in collaboration with the management of of Lake Schools, with the support of the Schools Manager Jagdish bhai Mehta. The surgeries were carried out at Sekou Toure Hospital Eye Clinic. The Morogoro Regional Hospital team members also participated.

We had the pleasure of a visit by the Chairman, Secretary and members of Lion Club, Mwanza Chapter and visitors from the Light Foundation, Toronto.

Water bottles donated by Br. Murtaza Alloo of Mwanza were distributed to all patients who came for screening at the School.

We also wish to thank the Morogoro Team under Dr. Njau and Mwanza Eye Department staff, as well as the Eye Clinic at Sekou Toure Hospital.
Our deep appreciation goes to the District Medical Officer (DMO), Dr. Onesmo Rwkiendera and his supportive team to facilitate the use of the Eye Department.
A big thank you goes to The Khoja Shia Ithna asheri Jamaat of Mwanza who warmly welcomed our team and contributed much needed ration. We deeply appreciate the warm and kind hospitality.
We were honoured and pleased by the visit of the Chairman, Secretary and members of Lion Club, Mwanza Chapter and visitors from Toronto-Light Foundation.
Much appreciation to Murtaza bhai Alloo for providing us with the ground logistics, Br Sibtain Meghjee for publicity and producing a DVD for our records, Mwanza Community volunteers who included surgeons, doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other workers dedicated to the patients. We thank them all.
We express our deep gratitude to the Mwanza Jamaat members and the Jamaat volunteers who provided vehicles for use at the camp, and other support services. Special thanks to Captain Munawar Dhirani of Flight link for his cooperation, support and help in serving the needy and the underprivileged people.
Our profound appreciation to the Chairman of Africa Federation, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi for his continued support in providing us with transport, he has been a great supporter of the BMMT Free Eye Camps in Tanzania from the past several years.
Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania records and appreciates all the donors and well wishers who always promote and support our activities, they have requested to remain anonymous.
