Once again Bilal Muslim Mission Tanga Branch carried out various activities to commemorate the Martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s), the Grandson of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W).
MAJLIS SESSION AND AZADARI
Majlis sessions and Azadari were conducted at all centres run under Bilal Tanga. Various Sheikhs were interchanged between centres so as to deliver the message of Kerbala. Majlises were well attended in all centres especially in Tanga where the first three lectures were delivered by Sheikh Ramadhan Kingambe of Pangani centre followed by Sheikh Baqir Hassan of Makaka Centre. Nyaaz was served after Majlis during the 12 nights.
BILAL TANGA ORGANISES A PEACEFUL MARCH ON ASHURA DAY
A Procession was organized on the Day of Ashura i.e. on Wednesday the 12th of October 2016, by Bilal Tanga in collaboration with the Ahlulbayt Charitable Foundation and Sayyid Shuhada Foundation of Mikanjuni -Tanga. The procession which was attended by more than 1200 people from all around Tanga region started from Bilal Headquarters in Street No. 5 and ended at Ahlulbayt Charitable foundation Headquarters in Street No.20. Throughout the procession message of Imam Hussain’s (A.S) and his great sacrifice were delivered through live speeches and pamphlets that were distributed during the procession.
RADIO PROGRAM
Various articles about the brutal massacre which took place in the plains desert field of Karbala were being shared in social media, there was a special program of delivering speeches through Radio Mwambao, where each episode of Radio was aired from 09:30pm upto10:30pm. This program continued daily for the duration of ten days of Muharram.
Also there was another session aired on Radio Maarifa 105.3 FM-Tanga. This station aired lectures from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm daily with special LIVE question and answer session being aired on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Bilal Tanga organized Blood donation in the name of Imam Hussain (a.s) on Tuesday 11th October 2016 which corresponds to 9th Muharram 1438 A.H. About 75 volunteers donors both men and women came forward for this noble cause which was conducted at the Tanga Regional Referral Hospital i.e. Bombo Hospital.
Bilal Tanga would like to thank all the generous donors who came forward with various donations to make these events possible and all the volunteers who assisted in the various events. We pray to the Almighty to reward them all in this world and the hereafter. Ameen.
