The Chairman of the Federation of Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri of Africa, Alhaj Shabir Najafi is pleased to appoint Mrs. Zaheeda Abdulrasul Alishan to the post of Chairperson of the Africa Federation Women Board for the term 2016 – 2019.

Brief Profile
Zaheeda bai completed her Primary Education in Mwanza and continued with her High School Education in Dar es Salaam. She then pursued a Teachers Training Course where she achieved a distinction and a Credit in teaching English as a First Language.
She is an Educationist by profession who has an extensive experience of 20 years in this field.
She is presently the Principal of Al Muntazir Girls Primary School under the Central Board of Education of KSI Jamaat of DSM she is holding this position since the past 8 years.
She had also held additional responsibilities as a Leader in various key positions, i.e. as an Administrator at the Al Muntazir Special Education Needs and as an Operations Manager at the school under the Central Board of Education of KSI Jamaat of Dar es Salaam.
She is experienced, creative and inspiring mentor to her teachers and is making a positive impact on the lives of young learners.
Zaheeda bai began volunteering services at a very young age and has been actively involved with different sections of the Jamaats in Mwanza and Dar es Salaam. She is presently a volunteer of the Ladies Managing Committee and the Ladies Task Force Team of KSI Jamaat of Dar es Salaam.
With her zeal and inherent creative talents, she has in the past participated and organized various Professional Art Competitions. Amongst her achievements in this field is her participation at the Angaza Art Competition and Exhibition, held in Dar es Salaam, where six of her paintings were exhibited and she was awarded the Most Creative Artist.
Zaheeda bai has a vision to enhance and broaden the leadership capabilities in women in our community, especially young girls to recognize the strengths, discover the power in their personality and to explore into their untapped and latent talents so as to empower them to dream big and achieve their goals in life and in furtherance of Islamic and Family values within the families and community at large.
