Marhum Abdulrasul Virjee
A right arm fast bowler who opened bowling for Mombasa Jaffery in 1930’s led the first ever Ithnasheri team in the DSM league Cricket. After retiring from active cricket he served the club in various capacities being its first chairman in 1952 he also took active interest in coaching of youngsters.
Marhum Raza Sherali
A fierce competitor, Raza represented Zanzibar both in cricket and volleyball for several years during the twilight years of his career, he lost none of his accuracy and represented DSM combine a hard hitting batsman and a good swing bowler, Raza always led by example.

They were the heroes who made our community proud in the sports arena for many decades. They were exemplary, committed and inspirational sportsmen. Our young and upcoming sportsmen should emulate them. Please recite Sura-e-Fateha for the maghferat of the departed souls of Marhum Abdulrasul Virjee, Marhum Raza Sherali and all the Marhumeens.
