The Mission has been working closely with communities of different beliefs to ensure that the message of Ahlul Bayt (AS) reaches out to all. This season of ‘Azaa, the media department has worked hard to deliver the message of Aba Abdillah (AS) with a goal to make the community and the society in general understand the tragedy of Karbala and the fruits of the sacrifice of all the matryrs to the world today.
One of the drives and purpose of Zaynab bint Ali (SA) in the battle of Karbala was exposing the injustices of the enemy and the propagate the honorable status of the Ahl al-Bayt.
The occasion commonly known as Ashre Zainabiyya (Ten days of Bibi Zainab) to mark the journey from Karbala-Sham back to Madina, is commemorated by Muslims around the world in remembrance of the fight for justice shown by Bibi Zainab (SA). The Mission organized 10 days online majlis on social media (You tube, Facebook, WhatsApp) with tremendous interaction amongst people with various beliefs.
The online majaalis were well received, reaching over 10,000 Facebook users and over 3,000 Bilal Kenya You Tube channel subscribers.
This year, we were blessed to host different Shuyukh. Sheikh Ali Bahero from Lamu County conducted four days of lectures. The topic for the first four days focused mainly on “Bibi Zainab (SA) kielelezo cha wanawake katika Qur’an” ~ Bibi Zainab (SA) as a role model/figure of women in the Holy Qur’an.
The second speaker hosted for four days was Sh. Twahir Mohamed from Mombasa who gave lectures on “Jinsi ya Kumwandaa Mwanamke mfano wa Bibi. Zainab (SA)” ~ How to code women’s conduct in the community to emulate the characteristics of Bibi Zainab (SA).
These majaalis resulted in many questions amongst listeners as to why such activities are conducted. In response to these, the Mission together with Sauti Ya Pwani FM Radio organized a live talk show to answer questions and clarify misconception of Shi’a Beliefs. In addition, 2 online Q&A sessions were streamed and led prudently by Sheikh Musa Shali from Bilal Kenya.
Comments from some listeners

40:57 – Jazaakumullahu khaira
Mashallah mawaida mazuri kwa jamii yetu. Allah mzidishie elimu zaidi ili muendelie kuelimisha jamii Inshallah. (Mashallah nice lectures for our community. May Allah increase your knowledge to continue educating our community)
Sheikh Musa Shali responded to the questions by quoting different Ahaadith and Ayaat from the Holy Qur’an, using both Shi’a and Sunni sources.
The Bilal Media Department appreciates the profound support from Lady Fatema Trust for the continued support they have shown us to make such memorable and recommendable events to happen.
