We are pleased to inform the Community members of the above
constituent Jamaats’ recent change in the leadership of the Jamaat.
At an emergency meeting held in Mwanza Jamaat on Wednesday 23rd June
2021, the following members were appointed to take over as Care Taker Committee
of the Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Jamaat of Mwanza. The meeting was called
following the resignations of the Managing Committee Members and Trustees of
the Jamaat from the posts they were holding.
The Care Taker Committee is made up of the following members:
- Alhaj Hasnain Amirali Hirji
- Alhaj Salim Mohamedrafiq Dhalla
- Alhaj Shirazali Mohamedali Panjwani
- Alhaj Aliasgar Mohammed Lalji
The Committee will manage the entire affairs of the Jamaat for a period of 90 days from the date of the appointment w.e.f. 23rd June 2021 during which period a General Meeting and elections of the Managing Committee and Trustees of the Jamaat will be held.
The Africa Federation Office Bearers wishes to record its profound appreciation to Murabbi Alhaj Mohamedrafiq bhai Dhalla, an elder of Mwanza Jamaat for accepting Africa Federation’s request to call for an emergency meeting to elect the Care Taker Committee. We pray to Allah (s.w.t.) to grant Murabbi a long healthy and successful life, Aameen.
We are also grateful to the four Care Taker Committee members for respectfully accepting to take over the Jamaat from the outgoing officials; we wish to assure the Committee of our full support and co-operation in managing the affairs of the Mwanza Jamaat to the required standards.
The message we wish to convey to the Mwanza Jamaat Community members is that of the importance of Unity, Harmony and Caring for each other especially during this difficult period we are going through. We pray to Allah (s.w.t.) for the Committee to succeed in their vision and aspirations and make progress for the betterment of all the Community members.
