Tabora is one town among the 7 (seven) with least human development in Tanzania, being least in human development means that majority of the people in different communities face a number of challenges in regards to basic necessity of life, this includes access to clean and safe water, access to electricity, sanitation, nutrition, child mortality and level of gender development, maternal mortality, environment, income, poverty level, and housing. These challenges are caused due to poverty and poor income generation.
With the aim to assist the residents of Tabora, the management of Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania has launched economic upliftment program in 3 of its villages namely, Itemagatwi, Ussoke and Usule to help reduce economic hardship to the community members. 3 cross breeding goats were distributed to each individual beneficiary in the mentioned centers with the total cost of Tsh. 9,060,000 ($ 3,905).
USOKE
