The Africa Federation Tabligh Board (AFTAB) in Collaboration with World Federation- MCE held a Train The Trainers Program for Teachers Skills Program (TTT – TSP) in Tanga from 25th to 27th August 2022. This was an in-house training program held at Tanga Beach Resort, where eight teachers who are TSP / NCFE graduates were trained to become facilitators to conduct TSP and handle five Micro Teach (MT) sessions that follow TSP’s two-day training. This was the second TTT – TSP that has been held in Africa, the first was held in 2016. The Eight teachers who were trained were from the Mombasa, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam and Arusha Madaris.
TSP / MT is a course that has been specially designed by Sayed Aliraza Naqvi to train teachers of our Madaris, value themselves and upgrade their teaching skills. Since its inception in 2015, teachers who have benefitted will vouch on the positive effect it has had on them. This in turn has flowed down to their near ones, and especially so to the students of the Madrasah they serve. At present there are five qualified trainers for TSP / MT. As the demand is increasing and teachers all over Africa want to get trained, AFTAB facilitated the TTT – TSP to increase facilitators. This increase in the number of facilitators will assist in catering for the increasing demand for such training.
The newly trained facilitators will now up their skills, get involved within the TSP – MT process and soon be ready to serve our madrasah teachers to upgrade their levels. This will enable madrasah teachers impart knowledge using skills that engage students better through their learning years.
