The Chairman of the Africa Federation, Alhaj Amine Nassor is pleased to appoint Brother Mohammed Kazim Sheriff as the Chairman of the Africa Federation Education Board for the term 2022 – 2025.
Brief Profile:
Mohammed Kazim Gulamraza Sheriff was born in Arusha, he completed his primary and secondary education in Bangalore, India. Further, from 2004 to 2012, he pursued his Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) and Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degrees at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (Bangalore, India) and Manipal University (Manipal, India) respectively. His professional career involves working as an academician, researcher, and scientific content specialist for the pharmaceutical industry.
He is a part of the research team of the Marriage Conciliatory Board of the KSIJ Dar-es-Salaam. He was adjudged as one of the winners of the Voice of the Community 2023, organized by CareersHub, KSIJ Dar-es-Salaam.
Having spent almost 25 years in Bangalore, India, and presently in Dar-es-Salaam, he has been actively involved in social work associated with education and tabligh under the constant mentorship of his late father, Marhum Alhaj Gulamraza bhai Ebrahim Sheriff, who dedicated his sole life towards ensuring the deserving received their rightful education and a better livelihood.
While in Manipal, India, he was Africa Federation’s coordinator with students mainly from East Africa who were studying in Manipal, where Africa Federation also facilitated by renting a Centre for the students to hold majlises, duas and other functions, Mohammed Kazim’s support in this regard was vital.
Mohammed Kazim is passionate about education and is committed to exploring and providing opportunities for deserving students to pursue a high-quality education. The Education Board will issue its Strategies and Goals for the year 2023 – 2025 aligned with the Africa Federation’s broader vision for the current term – with a focus on strengthening and elevating education standards of quality and administration. Also, will enhance further career guidance in education and religious aspects, financial and cost management and learning through New Skills Training, Pre-University Programs etc.
Mohamed Kazim is the grandson of Marhum Alhaj Ebrahim bhai Sheriff Dewji, the late Chairman of Africa Federation.
The appointment of the members of the Education Board will be announced as soon as possible.
