The Africa Federation Secretariat is pleased to announce the appointments of the members of the AFED Education Board for the remainder of the term 2022 – 2025.
Mohammed Kazim Sheriff (Pictured Centre) is a Pharmacist by profession. He is an academician and a researcher, currently working at a medical marketer. He is also the Secretary of the research team of the Marriage Conciliation Board (MCB) of KSIJ Dar-es-Salaam.
Pictured above are the Education Board members who have been appointed by Br. Mohammed Kazim Sheriff to serve on the Board to deliver the strategies and the development of the Board for the term.
Mudassir Alloo (Pictured second from right) is an Optometrist by profession. He is currently working as a consultant at TIBA Polyclinic. He is also a Board Member of the KSI Charitable Eye Centre in Temeke, Dar es Salaam where he conducts regular clinics. He has served the community at various levels during his teenage years. He is passionate in transforming the education and healthcare sector of the community.
Abid Ladha (Pictured third from right) is an Auditor by profession currently working for Grant Thornton Tanzania in Dar es Salaam. He has volunteered his time and skills across a wide spectrum of community organizations. He is a lifelong learner, passionately seeking opportunities for self-development, and believes in the transformative power of creativity, empathy, and sustainability.
Azra Sheriff (Pictured third from left) is a Homemaker by profession. She has dedicated her life to the community and has been serving Arusha Jamaat in various capacities for many years. She is passionate about reducing inequalities and ensuring all members of the community are served equitably.
Farhana Jaffer(pictured first from left) is an Educationist by profession. She is currently working as the Head of Curriculum at The Montessori Learning Centre in Nairobi. She is passionate about working with students to nurture them and bring out the best in them. She has served the community in different aspects over the years through various committees. She has also been working at the Madrasah in different capacities. She is very keen on always learning more and ensuring that the community at large gets a great opportunity in education.
Hussein Dhirani (pictured first from right) is a versatile professional with a background in marine biology, research, and marketing. He began his career as a marine biologist, conducting research and contributing two peer-reviewed papers to the field. Presently, Hussein serves as a project manager in the marketing sector for a group of companies. Beyond his professional endeavors, he is deeply engaged in community service. Hussein has dedicated his time and expertise to mentoring initiatives at various levels, including the Africa Federation, World Federation, and university programs. He also brings valuable experience from his previous role on the AFED AYN board and his current position on the Youth Development Committee in Arusha.
Sajida Master (pictured second from left) has been serving as an Admin Secretary Africa Federation Education Board for the past seven years. In addition to her administrative work, she wears several hats, including that of a dedicated teacher, a career advisor, a mindfulness coach, and a small business owner. Sajida has served as a mentor in the Development Society and youth lead group, a pre-marital counselor, and took a major role as a wellness coach during COVID-19. Sajida is particularly passionate about Youth and Women’s Empowerment. She is committed to empowering individuals of all ages within these groups, guiding them on a journey to discover their inner confidence and self-love. Her goal is to enable them to lead lives that are not only happy but also deeply fulfilling.
The AFED Secretariat extends its heartiest congratulations to Mohamed Kazim bhai and his team on their appointment and wishes them success in the accomplishment of the Board’s goals and objectives set out for the term 2022 – 2025.
