Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania had the honor to welcome and host the Deputy Chief Kadhi for Baraza Kuu la Waislamu Tanzania (BAKWATA) – Alhaj Sheikh Ali Khamis Ngeruko who visited Bilal Muslim Mission of Tanzania (BMMT) Headquarters in Dar es Salaam.

Alhaj Sheikh Ngeruko accompanied by his delegation visited on 10 January 2024 and held talks with senior leaders of BMMT including Alhaj Hussein Karim – Chairman, Alhaj Abdulwahid Mohammed – Vice Chairman, Brother Hafidhi Mansour – Chief of Operations, Samahat Sheikh Msabaha Mapinda – Head of the Tabligh Department, Sheikh Khamis Awadhi – Deputy Head of the Tabligh Department and Alhaj Azizhussein Rajani – Chairman for BMMT Coast & Southern Zone.
His visit marked yet another milestone in maintaining good relations between BAKWATA, as a Supreme Religious Muslim Body in Tanzania and BMMT, the visit provided an opportunity to discuss various matters concerning the Bilal Tanzania activities in the country and the general welfare of Muslims of Tanzania.
Alhaj Sheikh Ngeruko was impressed with the history of BMMT along with the work it does since 1968 in the areas of Tabligh, Social, Education and Community Development explained by BMMT Vice Chairman Alhaj Abdulwahid Muhammed.
On his side, the Deputy Chief Kadhi stressed on the importance of unity amongst the Muslims, this being the focus of BAKWATA since the current Mufti and Sheikh Mkuu took over the office of BAKWATA.
BMMT and the staff are elated by the visit of the Deputy Chief Kadhi to its offices. The Chairman of BMMT, Alhaj Hussain Karim stressed the importance of maintaining regular contacts and was looking forward to continue seeing positive relations between our institutions for the wider interests of all Muslims of this country.
