TRAIN THE TRAINER FOR TEACHERS SKILLS PROGRAMME IN AFRICA
Madrasah Centre of Excellence in collaboration with Arica Federation Tabligh Board organized a Train the Trainer Programme for the purpose of building capacity and empowering the Teachers trained in Teacher Skills Programme to facilitate the same for more teachers from various Madaris within Africa region.

The complete Teachers Skills Programme has been designed, planned and was facilitated by Sayyid Aliraza Naqvi here in Dar es Salaam Tanzania.
The following 9 Teachers were selected by AFtab and participated in the Training:
- Sis. Muazzama Mamodaly from Reunion Island.
- Sis. Shaida Abdulrasul from Dar es Salaam.
- Dr. Hasnein Mohamedali from Dar es Salaam.
- Sis. Fatima Shivji from Nairobi
- Sis. Sabira Sadak from Dar es Salaam.
- Sis. Zishaan e Fatima Karim from Dar es Salaam.
- Br. Hameed Sheriff from Arusha.
- Br. Aliabbas Nasser from Dar es Salaam.
- Sis. Shirin Jeraj from Dar es Salaam.
Preparations for Presentations
The training was conducted from 9th to 11th December 2016 and comprised of the following outline of modules:
- 9th December from 8.30 am to 6.30 pm – review of the modules of the Teacher Skills Programme.
- 10th December from 8.30 am to 6.30 pm – allocation of sessions for presentation to the Trainees and their preparations for the same. Preparations continued after dinner as well.
- 11th December from 8 am to 9 pm – presentation of the entire Teacher Skills Programme by the Trainees followed by closing session.

The above-mentioned Trained Facilitators would be delivering the Teacher Skills Programmes over the next 2 years; 2017 & 2018 within and for the Madrasah Teachers in Africa. Each Trained Facilitator will take up 4 trainings per year.
Under the direct guidance of Sayyid Aliraza Naqvi, the Lead Facilitator for MCE of the World Federation, these Trained Facilitators will continue on the path of making a difference to Madrasah Settings as they touch the lives of the Teachers and nurture the Madrasah children. Sayyid Aliraza Naqvi said, “The main focus of the MCE TSP remains on character building and skills learning as outlined in the manual. We are therefore passionately seeking to actively support good men and women who have the capacity, skills, and competence to effectively benefit humanity through following the teachings and mission of the Prophet and Ahlul Bayt.”
After the programme was successfully concluded at 8.00 Pm on Sunday night, Sayyid Aliraza commented, “These exceptional teachers who have just gone through the most intense training, have started to understand that they are on a journey to better the quality of teaching in the madaris and to create a positive impact on the lives of the learners. They have started the conversation to forgive the unforgiven. They have started the run that will become their marathon. They understand that the madrasah is not a place of merely giving Islamic knowledge but also of nurturing the learner. They have started the dream that will change our Madaris Inshallah”.
In his speech, the Chairman of Aftab Seyed Hasan Naqvi, thanked the MCE of World Federation and Sayyid Aliraza Naqvi for their relentless support for Madaris in Africa. He thanked the newly trained team and told them he had full confidence and faith in this A team to transform the teaching in the Madaris. He assured them of AFtabs fullest support. He appointed Sister Shaida Abdulrasul to be the lead coordinator of all Teacher’s Skills Programme in Africa. She will plan and execute the plans of all further trainings in Africa region with the support of the MCE. He stressed the importance of all the Madaris in Africa to take advantage of this opportunity and train their teachers. There is no excuse and Aftab is doing all it can to facilitate this.
The Head of MCE Naushad Mehrali was also present during the entire duration of the training as an observer. He stated the importance of these trainings and said the MCE has grown from being a dream to reality, he touched upon the Tarbiya Curriculum which is due to be launched early next year. He thanked Aftab and assured them of MCEs fullest cooperation in Africa.
