MAHE RAMADHAN 1434 A.H (2013) REPORT
During the Holy month of Ramadhan, Bilal Muslim Mission of Uganda undertook several programs which included Iftaar provision, Ramadhan package distribution and Tabligh activities at several centres. These activities were undertaken in 10 centres for both, Shia and non-Shia Muslim communities.
8 Mubalighs were appointed for the major centres and their main duties included overseeing the breaking of fast, leading the obligatory prayers, leading the Dua recitation and conducting short Majlises. There was daily recitation of the Ramadhan Duas: Iftitah and Tawassul and short lectures along with question and answer sessions.
12 centres were visited to distribute food to the deserving families. The centres also received date fruits for the iftaar. The family packages included maize flour, cooking oil, sugar and rice. Over 890 packages were distributed to the families at the 12 centres.

The Prize giving ceremony was held on 7th of August 2013 and the Guest of Honor was Professor Abidi who also delivered a beautiful and motivational speech to all Bilal Muslim Mission members who attended the ceremony.
After successfully completing the fasts during the Holy month of Ramadhan, Bilal Muslim Mission of Uganda had the responsibility of distributing Zakat ul Fitr to the less privileged members of Bilal Muslim Mission so that they too would enjoy their Eid Day celebrations with family and friends. Zakat ul Fitr was distributed in only 4 centres with each individual getting Ug. Shs. 20,000/=. On this auspicious day, the centres were visited and Zakat ul Fitr distributed as follows:
On Eid ul Fitr, Maulana Seyed Husain Abbas led the Eid prayers at Jinja and led the Jumah prayer at Mayuge in Iganga. This occasion was covered by different media; Television, radio and newspapers.
